Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in DIY, interior and lifestyle. Hope you have a nice stay!

Macrame key chain, guest tutorial by Claireabella makes

Today is the first of, hopefully, many guest tutorials. The first guest spot is for Claire from Claireabellamakes.com especially for the HestersHandmadeHome readers she designed this cute macrame key chain!

I first came to see Claire's designs when spending a lost hour on twitter and stumbling across #handmadehour. It showed one of Claire's bicycle bracelets which I fell in love with right away and purchased instantly. I kept in touch with Claire on twitter as I love her blog and she decided to treat all of you, HestersHandmadeHomers with an exclusive key chain design.

Claire uses macrame in her bracelets and key chains, macrame is making a big comeback at the moment. A few years ago it was still associated with that tacky flower pot holder your nan had in her kitchen, but a lot of young designers are using the macrame technique to create great pieces. Have a look at these modern macrame images.

So get your macrame groove back on and knot a little key chain!

You guys are in luck as until the end of July you can purchase a bicycle bracelet or anything else in Claire's shop with 15% discount!! Just enter the code TDF14 at the Etsy checkout. Have a look at her products here You can buy a whole fleet of bicycles as they cost just £5, I might just have to order one in every colour ;)
