Behind the scenes of Crafting with Mason jars

Behind the scenes of Crafting with Mason jars

So my book Crafting with Mason jars is out, whoop whoop! In Thursday's post I showed you how to make my favourite project the leather coffee cup jars and last month I gave you a little sneak peek into the book. Today I will show you even more, what it takes to get the images for the book.

This book, like the last, is shot by James Gardiner and we had so much fun on the shoot days. We used two locations: my old house and the Little Stour orchard, which added a nice outdoorsy feel to the images. I styled the images and used a lot of natural product like flowers, linnen and wood to get the right feel in the book. Have a look at how we shot the book

Tomorrow the blog tour for Crafting with Mason jars start with Apartment Apothecary, I can't wait to see which projects all the bloggers have made! On Tuesday a new episode of Drawn to DIY will feature an other Mason jar project, one that doesn't appear in the book but will round up the total of jar ideas to 40! Ever known you can do so many things with an empty jar?
