Floral bunny Crown for Spring
Sponsored post
To celebrate spring I teamed up with Childrensalon to show you how to make these floral bunny ears. With just a few basic craft materials you can make this super cute accessory for your little one. You don’t have to limit yourself to the bunny ears, the wire will bent into any shape so if you rather be a mouse or fox just change the ear shape. You don’t need to limit yourself making these just for just the small people in your life, I think a bunny ear crown would look rather fetching on me too but it will be tricky beating how cute little Kiki looks in one!
To make the crown you will need:
rope, around a meter
craft wire
artificial flowers
a plain hairband
glue gun
pliers
scissors
needle and thread
You do:
Shape your rope in the ear shape that you want and around the hairband. Trim to size
Push the craft wire into the rope, a loose woven rope will make this a lot easier. This will be a fiddly job but keep at it. If you use a twisted rope you can simply weave the wire through the twist (as I did with the yellow crown) Once through cut the wire with pliers.
Sew the rope to the hairband, I used clothes pegs to keep the rope in the shape that I want.
Wrap some extra thread round the end of the hairband for a neat finish. You can use a bit of glue to keep the thread in place.
Pull the artificial flowers of their stems and glue in place. I like the flowers to be on top of the hairband between the ears.
Finish your floral bunny ears with a few small flowers on one of the ears
All the clothes Kiki is wearing in the photo’s and video is from Childrensalon, have a look at their website for more spring fashion inspiration.
I think I might have to go make some more bunny crowns for Easter, maybe even make a mini version for kermit the Dog, he was rather jealous of Kiki when I was photographing her :)
Hope you all have a lovely Easter xx
