Floral egg baskets
Sponsored post
With Easter being just around the corner, I teamed up with Hobbycraft to show you how you can transform one of their basket into a floral egg basket, in not one, but two different ways!
I love nothing more than a good Easter egg hunt, it is a big tradition in our family. Two people hide the eggs in a specific part of the forest while the others go on a nice walk. Once reunited, the hunt begins and to say we are rather fanatic is an understatement :) We normally just put the eggs in our pockets, but this year I’m going all stylish with a floral egg basket! Is there anything better then flowers and chocolate eggs?
If you love to get creative and you have a few free hours to decorate your basket with some beautiful felt flowers then this is a really simple tutorial for you to follow. If you are short, or you like something more dramatic then perhaps you can look to decorate your basket with artificial flowers. Hobbycraft stock a large selection of artificial flowers - I’m rather obsessed with the massive peony roses on the side of the basket!
Felt Flowers
All craft supplies are from Hobbycraft, and you canpick them up in your local store or buy them online. I used a A4 sized felt in baby pink, bright pink, yellow, baby blue, buttercream, mint green and lime green. I also used silver hobby wire, scissors and a long handle basket.
Faux flowers
If felt is not your thing or you would prefer to go bold this Easter, then have a look at my faux flower basket. It is really easy to make and it will hav a real impact on your Easter egg hunt!
All these stunning flowers are from Hobbycraft, they really are my one stop if I need artificial flowers as their selection is amazing and are all reasonably priced.. As mention before the basket I used is the long handle basket from Hobbycraft.
Which basket is your favourite? Do you like the simplicity of the felt flowers or do you like the romantic vibes of the faux flowers?
You can of course use the felt flowers on other things then just the basket, they look lovely grouped together in a little vase or as a decoration on a present. The lovely thing about these floral Easter baskets is that you can use them in years to come, not just at Easter. I think they will look great for storing trinkets too :)
