Make your own aromatherapy spray to use in your face mask

Make your own aromatherapy spray to use in your face mask

I was working with my friend Annie the other day when she kept using this lovely smelling spray in her face mask. Of course I asked her what it was and she told me she started making essential oil sprays to use in her face mask and pillows. A little burst of aromatherapy to energise you through out the day and to help you relax and sleep at night. Annie very kindly shared her recipe with me, thanks Annie! Have a look at the video below to see how incredibly easy the spray is to make.

So you just use 2/3 distilled water to 1/3 witch hazel to 20 drops off essential oil. I used an Aveda oil I had in my cupboard but I think I might buy a lavender and a geranium essential oil to use in my next spray.

Another oil which would be rather lovely is peppermint, especially if you are prone to headaches, peppermint is a very soothing oil to use. If you like to make your own pillow spray to help you sleep at night try lavender oil, camomile or bergamot orange.

If you have a small child who is scared of monster maybe a special aromatherapy ‘monster spray’ might make them sleep better!

Use a brown glass bottle to store your spray, the tinted glass makes sure sunlight doesn’t have an effect on your essential oils. I like using small bottles so they are very easy to pop in your bag. I bought all the ingredients on Amazon but you can have a look in your local pharmacy or drug store too.

Massive thanks to Annie for sharing her recipe! What oils will you use in your spray?
