The hibernation diary, part 2
We’re a week in of lying on the sofa not being able to do anything. As you read in my last post I managed to break my ankle in 3 places, had a operation that put three screws and two plates in my ankle and had to stay in a hospital 4 hours away from home for four days. Lesson learned, if you break something do it close to home! Luckily the NHS is amazing and I was well looked after by the nurses and travel back home got sorted too.
I need to keep my leg elevated so forced sofa time it is. And although I can’t move much that won’t stop me noticing pretty things around me, have a look at my pictures from the sofa.
main picture, Kermit the Dog is a great little nurse giving me lots of cuddles.

keeping busy building Lego flowers, a very kind present my family in the Netherlands send over
I pimped by walker with an Ollie Ella basket! I don’t think this use ever got mentioned in their design meetings but its suprisingly effective and makes the granny walker look cute.
The box of Lego flowers
Loving the patterns on my coffee table, the laptop case is from Sostrene Grene and the cute bag from Apolina. They look great with my 70’s palm print carpet.
Kermit enjoying the sunshine, he blends in with the white blanket and XL Nijntje/Miffy pillow from Hema
The cutest get well soon basket my friend brought over.
Beautiful get well soon flowers
A corner of my living room I don’t often look at as I hardly ever sit on the sofa and never share online but I think it looks cute!
Another gift from the Dutch family, a laptop table so I can get a little bit of work done and eat my diner on the sofa
A few more days and then it’s my follow up appointment, fingers crossed all is well and I get a walking cast :D
