Build your own desk, easy DIY for beginners
I had to build a desk for an office scene I had to photograph. My daughter could do with a desk too but instead of buying one that might fit in the small space I have I decided to design a desk so super simply that anyone can make one, even if you don’t have any DIY experience. I used 18mm thick MDF and had the sheet cut in the timber yard, making the build SO easy!
Cut list for my desk that is 75cm high, 50cm deep and 60cm wide.
top: 60 x 50 cm
leg: 75 x50 cm you need two of these
shelf: 56.4 x 50cm
back piece 56.4 x 8.2 cm
If you want to to make your desk any wider just adjust the 60cm into which ever length you want, I wouldn’t go much deeper or higher as this desk is a pretty good height to work on. (If you go over 120cm you will need an extra support)
