How to make fabric Christmas decorations

I like very simple decorated Christmas trees, just some light and a few decorations will do for me. I'm not a big fan of tinsel or even worse the very old fashioned 'angel hair' they used in Dutch trees, do you have that here as well?

I do like handmade decorations, I think my mum still has two little paper birds in her tree that my sister and I made when we were toddlers :) Last year I made fabric decorations from printed Christmas fabric, they went down a storm so this year I thought I show you how to make your own, its super simple.

How did you decorate your tree? Some handmade treasures as well?
