Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in DIY, interior and lifestyle. Hope you have a nice stay!

I'm inspired by the book Be Bold

I'm inspired by the book Be Bold

Last week I was at the book launch of my friend Emily Henson’s new book Be Bold. If you like maximalists interiors then this is the book for you. Full of pattern, prints and bold colours the book is full of inspiration to have a bit more fun with your home.

You might think it’s completely not my cup of tea as my style is Scandi and more toned down but I do love a bit of a colour pop and one photo in the book inspired me to get the paint out for a quick colour pop. Have a look at the video below

What do you think? Going to paint one of your windows too? What colour would you choose? They paint I used is a mix of Annie Sloan Chalk Paints® in Henrietta and Antoinette and I love how the pink compliments the cushions on my new bench (a tutorial for that one will be online soon!)

And did you see I put up a colour pop curtain too? It’s an Ikea hack I did for their inspiration pages, have a look at the tutorial here.

Be Bold Book

Be Bold is published by Ryland Peter&Small and is available in any good bookstore worldwide. Have you checked out Emily’s website Life Unstyled? It’s full of amazing but realistic style inspiration.

I would love to see you get out your paint brushed and add colour pops to your windows! Please tag me into your DIY’s and I might share them in future posts.

See you all next week! x Hester
