Advent calendar surprise ball
It’s time again for a homemade Advent calendar and this year I went for the surprise ball. I’ve always wanted to make my own surprise ball and I thought they lent themselves perfectly for an Advent calendar. Every day you peel away one layer of paper revealing a little present and making the ball smaller and smaller until it’s Christmas eve.
I got most my presents on Vinted, they are great for toy bundles, new or used. I went for small fidgets, anything koala and jewellery. Choose presents that are small enough so they can be wrapped up easily. I also added some stickers , chocolate coins and some pieces from illustrator Jane Foster. She makes the cutest coin purses and badges.
You can buy crepe paper in any good craft shop or have a look online. I used 6 rolls but this all depends on how big your presents are and how many layers of paper you do.
I love the Advent surprise ball! It might be one of my favourite Advent calendars I made but then again I still love the teddy calendar too. The squirrel teddy that got a piece of clothing every day :D You can find that calendar here.
