Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in DIY, interior and lifestyle. Hope you have a nice stay!

More glass doodling

More glass doodling

Remember the video I did a couple of months ago about window drawings? Doodling on your windows is a great way to create a privacy screen on a window that faces the street or just to add a bit of fun to your home decor, if you missed the video have a look here. I enjoyed drawing on my window so much I thought I will come back for more!

The illustrations I used in the previous video were from www.windowdrawing.com and they came up with a new product, the draw plaque. A slighter smaller then a4 piece of perspex your can decorate in what ever way you like. You draw on your plaque with a chalk marker, it's very easy to clean this off the glass with a bit of window spray so great for projects that you want to change over and over again. I came up with a few ideas how to use this changeable bit of room decor, have a look at the video

Which idea do you like best? I think my fav must be the cactus you can never, ever kill ;) Although I do really like the idea of writing down the menu for my next diner party on the plaque too. This will be great for summer bbq parties, especially if you do it buffet style. A few of these plaques dotted around the table with hand written messages on what drinks and food are on offer would look real stylish!

What would you draw on your plaque? Do you have any more creative ideas of what you would do? I think using it as a photo frame would be great as well, just stick a picture to the back of the glass and draw a frame around the image. Or maybe the date and place the picture was taken. I should have done that as tip 5!! :D

I'll be back next week with a new video, please do keep sending in your requests. Want to build something for your home but don't know how? Let me know! See you next week xx Hester

Windowdrawing.com send me one of the plaques to try out but I'm not being payed to promote them, I just love this new product and would like to share it with you all. Video and photo's by Hester van Overbeek.
