Fabric scrap bracelet tutorial
A quick and easy craft this week and one that you can use your fabric scraps for. If you are anything like me you probably have a whole box of fabric scraps you are saving for 'you never know when.' Bits of cotton left over after an outfit that you made, a cushion project or maybe a quilt. Little bits that have such a great pattern and colour you don't want to throw them away.
And what about the pieces of fabric you kept from your favourite outfit worn until it fell apart. Or maybe that cute little shirt your child doesn't fit anymore? Well all those leftovers and treasured pieces of fabric you can now turn into these cute bracelets. And they are so easy to make! Have a look at the video to see how
What do you think? Super cute right? And like I said in the video these will be such nice presents as well. You can make one for all your friends. All you need is a piece of fabric (2x40 cm) a piece of string (60 cm) and a button. A thin fabric works a lot better then a thicker one as you can wrap it tighter around the string, creating a neater looking bracelet.
I got the buttons from my dad, they came from uniforms worn by people in the company he works for. I recon they are pretty old and they give the the bracelets a lovely edge. You can of course use a much lighter button, something colourful or vintage, use whatever you like or have in your button box. Just make sure you adjust the loop to the size button you use.
I'll be back next week with a new video, see you then! x Hester
