I love having flowers in the house, specially this time of year when it's so cold and grey and spring looks very, very far away. Tulips, daffodils and hyacinths just give us such a lovely burst of colour to your home, you never know you might even get a lovely bouquet for Valentine's day! :)
Empty food jars are a great for showcasing your flowers, but aren't upgraded jars like these even better? They are super easy to make with just a glue gun and some spray paint.
You can write whatever you like on the vase, I chose the words 'I heart' but Love, Like or Flowers would be cute as well. You can also go the abstract route like I did on the little vase, use the glue gun to dot little circles of glue on the glass. But the sky is the limit you can do stripes, intrigued patterns or just a simple love heart.
I would normally just use spray paint outside but as it's so cold out at the moment I made myself a little spray paint booth. Take an empty cardboard box, place your vase inside and spray paint away. You still have to open a window for the paint fumes but at least your room stays paint free.
Have a look at the video below to see how you can make your own vase.
What would you write on your vase? Would you use a word, sentence or go abstract?
Happy Valentine's! xx Hester
