Scrap wood candle stick

I was looking for a rectangular candle stick holder for my dining room table for ages with no luck. Just something simple that hold a candle or a tea light, but couldn't find anything, so I thought why not make my own!

By layering bits of wood you have lying around  your shed you can create a great contemporary piece for your table. I used two same sized pieces and one smaller just to give it some height. For the tea light holes you need a hole cutter, if you don't have one they are dead cheap on Ebay, I bought mine for £4 for a set of 5.

Have a look at my video tutorial to see how you can make one yourself.

This is a great little project to make in the weekend, think you are going to make one for your dining room table?
